2019-20 Sailing Season

2019-20 SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP

Another great season has started, check out the full set of championship results so far.

COMMODORES CUP

The Commodores Cup for 2019-20 was raced over two weeks, the 9th of November and 29th of February.  A total of nine boats took part.

PURSUITS RACE

The Pursuits Race on Saturday 22 February 2020 saw the fleet have a staggered start before heading out around the harbour and finishing at Worser Bay Boating Club to celebrate the Grand Opening of the WBBC Clubhouse.

IBBOTSON TRAY

The 2020 version of the Ibbotson Tray was raced on a beautiful Wellington day with a light southerly turning to a light northerly

MARANGI CUP

The Mairangi Cup for 2020 was run on Saturday 1 February.  The course being out to Days Bay and back up the bay to finish.

CHARLOTTE CHALLENGE TROPHY

The Charlotte Challenge Trophy for 2020 was run on 25 January with a course out around Somes Island and back.

PET CUP

6 boats took part on a beautiful Wellington Anniversary day with a lovely southerly sea breeze.  The winner was...

NON-RACE

Saturday 18 January was not a scheduled race day at EBYMBC, but with a magnificent forecast it would have been rude not to get out there for a sail.

AMERICA CUP

The America Cup was raced on Saturday 21 December in a lovely southerly and 8 boats on the course!

TELFORD MUG

The Telford Mug was raced on Saturday 23 November in a light southerly and 14 boats on the course!

SHIRALEE CUP

The Shiralee Cup was raced on Saturday 2 November under beautiful blue skies and a building northerly breeze.  The course saw the fleet head out around mark 12 (North Ward) and return home.

HOLMES CUP

6 boats took part on a beautiful Wellington day and a dying northerly.  The winner was...

OPENING DAY 2019

Opening Day for 2019 was a stunner with 8-10kts of southerly breeze and beautiful blue skies.
